Thomas More’s Biology Field Station Receives Grant and National Recognition for Ohio River Conservation

The University’s Biology Field Station recently received a grant from the National Wildlife Federation to advance conservation efforts and support research and education focused on protecting endangered species. Thomas More was one of only nine institutions selected to receive funding. Read more here.

In addition, Chris Lorentz, Ph.D., professor of biological sciences, director of the Biology Field Station, and chair of the Ohio River Basin Alliance, recently shared his expertise on the importance of the Ohio River Restoration Program Act. In his remarks, he urged Congress to pass the legislation, highlighting its potential to protect drinking water by reducing pollution and runoff while restoring critical natural habitats.
