Thomas More Announces Two New Leadership Roles on its Board of Trustees

CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY (July 7, 2026) – Thomas More recently announced that two community members assumed new leadership roles within the University’s Board of Trustees.

M. Scott McIntyre ’97, Esq. has been elected Vice-Chairperson of the Board and H. Lytle Thomas has been appointed as the Board’s Chairperson of Finance, Business & Capital Planning Committee.

“Scott and Lytle truly embody the values upon which our University was built,” said Joseph L. Chillo, LP.D., President of Thomas More University. “Their leadership, professional expertise, and unwavering commitment to Thomas More will contribute significantly to our efforts to strengthen the University and create new opportunities for our students, faculty, staff, and alumni. I look forward to working closely with both of them in their new roles.”

McIntyre is a partner and employment and labor law practice team leader with Baker Hostetler LLP. Prior to joining Baker Hostetler, McIntyre served as a law clerk for the Honorable Daniel M. Manion of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Honorable Karl S. Forester, Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern Districut of Kentucky.

He earned a degree in Bachelor of Arts from Thomas More University, where he served as Student Government President, and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He resides in Cincinnati, OH with his wife and son.

Thomas started his career in banking at Fifth Third Bank, was promoted to senior lender of its Northern Kentucky affiliate, served as president and CEO of Heritage Bank ,and is currently the president of First National Bank of Kentucky.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Transylvania University and a Master of Business Administration from Northern Kentucky University. He lives in Ft. Wright, KY with his wife.
