Thomas More College Student Doubles as Civil War Re-enactor

Hello, my name is Gretchen Glaza and my family has been participating in Civil War re-enactments for over 20 years, so I was brought up in this environment. These re-enactments show people what it was like to live in the Civil War era.

In 2013, family obligations allowed us to participated in two events: the Battle of Richmond, Ky. and a history lesson at Villa Madonna Academy. Both of these were during the 2013-2014 school year. The Battle of Richmond, Ky. was the weekend of August 24-26, 2013 and the lesson at Villa Madonna was in early November. One event that we try to go to every year is the Battle of Sacramento, Ky.

Bob Hagedorn, my boyfriend, along with his sisters Katie and Heidi Hagedorn have joined our group in the past couple of years. We all enjoy history and showing others that learning about history can be fun. Included are some photos of events we’ve been a part of, enjoy!
