Kristin Hughes Receives Nancy Janes Boothe Scholarship
On May 4, current Thomas More University MBA student Kristin Hughes was recognized as the Nancy Janes Boothe Scholarship recipient during the Outstanding Women of Northern Kentucky Awards. Presented through the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Initiative, the awards celebrate women who demonstrate exceptional leadership and a strong commitment to meaningful service in their communities.
“I’m truly grateful to receive this scholarship,” said Kristin. “Throughout my life I’ve learned to navigate challenges by focusing on growth, optimism, and perseverance. By pursuing my MBA I hope to not only advance my career but also become a leader who uplifts others, welcomes new opportunities, and continues to grow, both professionally and in my personal life.”
“We are so proud of Kristin, and she is certainly a well-deserving recipient of the Nancy Janes Boothe scholarship,” said Joseph L. Chillo, LP.D, President of Thomas More University. “Kristin embodies our University’s values of hospitality, humility, service, and stewardship, and we are delighted to celebrate this recognition alongside her.”
While pursuing her MBA at Thomas More, Kristin works full time and is a dedicated single mother. She earned her undergraduate degree in English from the University of Dayton and currently serves on the Emerging Leaders Steering Committee at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati. In her free time, she volunteers at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds.
