Dr. Hinkel and ’26 alumna Josephine (Roach) Vanzant co-authored a published and peer-reviewed paper in the Open Journal of Astrophysics titled “Visualizing Disequilibrium: Tracing Two-Point Correlations to Specific Spatial Structures in the Milky Way.” The article maps a wave-like structure in the Milky Way Galaxy.
