A Grand Celebration – 50 Years in the Making
The Thomas More College Biology Field Station was the location of a gathering of faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the College on Sunday, July 23, 2017 in celebration of the Field Station’s 50th anniversary. In addition to celebrating 50 years of river research, dignitaries, trustees, and donors participated in the groundbreaking of the new STEM Outreach Center which expands the Field Station’s ability to serve local schools and groups in promoting scientific education and research. Thank you to the R.C. Durr Foundation, Inc., and George A. & Delores E. Renaker Charitable Foundation for making the Outreach Center possible. The beautiful day was the perfect setting for a barbecue picnic in the Lodge and music performed by family band Tellico and the Rabbit Hash String Band at the Sr. Mary Laurence Budde, S.N.D. Outdoor Classroom. Thanks to all for being a part of this day.
