2018 Student Research Forum
The ninth TMC Student Research Forum took place on Wednesday, April 11. Undergraduate and graduate presentations were evaluated by a team of internal and external judges, and rated in terms of critical thinking principles including clarity, precision, accuracy, breadth of knowledge, relevance, and contribution to the field. The Dean’s Award of Excellence is awarded to the outstanding project, as rated by the judges, in each of four categories: Humanities and Fine Arts, Science and Mathematics, Social Sciences and Professions, and Graduate and Adult Programs. Twenty projects were presented during the two sessions, with awards for the first three categories presented on Wednesday, April 18 at the Underclassmen Honors Convocation. The Graduate and Adult Program Award was presented at the conclusion of the Student Research Forum evening program to Ms. Terri Perrino for her project “iPads vs. Paper.”
