New students with family and friends in tow, descended on Thomas More College on Saturday, August 13 marking move-in day for new residents and the beginning of Weeks of Welcome (WOW) for all. The festivities included a picnic lunch with an address by President David A. Armstrong, J.D., whose son is included in the first year class. Lunch was followed by guest speaker David Coleman speaking to the parents/guardians in one session and students in a second session. Students met in their First Year Seminar Classes while parents were treated to a sampling of classes throughout campus. Mass began at 4:15 p.m. in Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel, followed by the formal Convocation Ceremony welcoming new students to Thomas More College. The family/student program concluded at 7 p.m. with parents/guardians saying farewell but the newest Saints staying for dinner and fun evening activities.
