Thomas More President Recognized as a Top Regional Leader for a Fifth Year
CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. (Oct. 24, 2024) – The publishers of Cincinnati Magazine named Thomas More University President Joseph L. Chillo, LP.D., as one of the region’s 300 most powerful business leaders for a fifth consecutive year in its annual publication entitled Cincinnati 300. Cincinnati 300’s fifth edition recognizes leaders from Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky’s largest and most successful companies, nonprofits, government entities, and the professional services agencies that support them. President Chillo has been included on the list each year since the beginning of his tenure at Thomas More.
A visionary leader, President Chillo builds upon the distinguished legacy of the University, discovering and pursuing opportunities that advance Thomas More’s mission and reputation as the premier Catholic liberal arts university in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region. Notably, President Chillo introduced the 2021-2026 Strategic Plan: Lighting the Way, crafted to propel the University forward through innovation and agility. In support of this plan, President Chillo and his leadership team also launched the largest comprehensive capital campaign in University history, the Second Century Campaign: It’s time for More. The campaign continues to be a resounding success, surpassing its initial goal of $30 million three years ahead of schedule, and continued fundraising efforts exceeding $40 million to date.
Speaking to his strengths with the magazine, President Chillo says: “I have built a team that understands servant leadership, how to be innovative and agile, and most importantly can lead and manage their teams to ensure that we have the right people in the right positions.”
