TMC Student Research Forum
Now in it’s seventh year, the Research Forum gives Thomas More College students a platform to present their research projects to the TMC community. Fourty-eight student researchers presented their projects to the judging panel for review. The Forum was split into two days for 2016, with a daytime session on March 23 and an evening session taking place on March 29. An awards ceremony following the evening session, announced the winners of the Dean’s Awards for Research Excellence. Winners for 2016 include: Humanities and Fine Arts – Paul Kleier (History – Struggle for the suburbs: the Covington annexation wars 1950-1980), Sciences – Terri Perrino (Physics – Parameter study of binary eclipsing stars HD 166383 and HD 168207), Social Sciences & Professions – Rio Henry and Rodney Holder (Psychology – Workplace objectification and the role of power and empathy), and Graduate Programs – Brandon Amann, Andrea Condon, Kathryn Lin, Henry Orange, Seth Pinedo, and Amy Thalls (MBA – Nonprofit board of director succession planning: a proposed template for developing an emerging leaders’ guild). Congratulations to all student researchers on a job well done.
