Saturday, August 19, marked the official start of the academic year and beginning of Weeks of Welcome on the Thomas More College Crestview Hills campus. Move in occurred earlier in the day and festivities began at noon with a picnic lunch for students and their families. Activities included first year students meeting their instructors for first year seminar class, speaker Tish Norman addressing both parents/guardians and students about what to expect in the first year of college, celebration of the first Mass of the academic year in Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel with Bishop Roger J. Foys, D.D., as officiant, and the official Convocation Ceremony in Connor Convocation Center. President David A. Armstrong, J.D., addressed all those in attendance, welcoming them on campus for the new academic year. Class of 2012 graduate, Dr. James Schack, invited first year students to have a great TMC experience and offered words of advice based on his own Thomas More College adventures.
